Crow’s feet / Eye lines

Eye lines refer to the lines which develop at the corners of the eyes as part of the natural aging process.
These lines are often referred to as ‘crows feet’. The extent and depth of these lines is determined on a combination of genetic and environmental factors, such as sun exposure, activity of facial expression and smoking. The eye muscle is known as ‘orbicularis oculi’ named in representation of its circular shape around the eye. This muscle is especially active when smiling and functions to help close the eye. Repeated movements over time and as we age may lead to the development of eye lines. They are often easily treated with several small injections of Botulinum Toxin to the corners of the eyes, resulting in relaxation of the muscle and reduction of the crow’s feet lines.
