Botulinum toxin works by relaxing the muscles that tend to furrow or tighten when you make certain facial expressions. Those expressions repeatedly fold your skin over time. Eventually turning into more permanent creases. Tiny injections can temporarily smooth away unwanted lines & creases. You will still be able to make facial expressions, but anti wrinkle injections help minimise extreme movements that age your skin. After treatment, your face will look younger, happier & refreshed.

Am I a suitable candidate for Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Anti-wrinkle injections are likely to be suitable for people who are showing signs of fine lines or wrinkles on the face or neck. This treatment is not advised if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. During your consultation we will discuss your medical history before proceeding with any treatments. Our team prioritises your safety and well being at all times.
Are Anti-Wrinkle Injections Painful?
The injections are done using a very small needle and generally considered painless. Numbing cream is not usually required.
Are there any side effects or risks with Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
As with any injections, there is always a possibility of minimal bruising, swelling and redness. These usually resolve within a few hours post treatment.
What results can I expect from Anti-Wrinkle Injections?
Optimal results can usually be seen within 14 days. If further treatment is required we will schedule you for a complimentary top up within 4 weeks of treatment. Anti Wrinkle Injections are temporary and usually last between 3-4 months before the effects begin to wear off. You may repeat the treatment after this time.
Is there any downtime?
Recovery for this treatment is minimal however for the first 0-4 hours post treatment we advise to follow the below guidelines to ensure best results.
- Avoid exercise of any kind.
- Stay upright. Bending over or laying down after injections can cause it to move into an unwanted area.
- Keep your head elevated.
- No touching, rubbing, pressing, or massaging your face.
- Avoid wearing makeup on or near the injection site.
- Avoid blood thinning medications like aspirin or ibuprofen, if possible. If your medication is medically necessary, make sure to discuss with your provider prior to treatment.
- Do not apply heat to the area. This includes taking hot baths, getting into hot showers, and using saunas or hot tubs.
- Normal daily activity is okay, as long as it follows the guidelines above.
The next day and beyond (24+ hours) you can go back doing everything normally, including strenuous exercise.
