For example, you might have a variety of acne scar types. With Dermapen, we can adjust the depth settings to treat each. Is Dermapen Micro-Needling Painful?
No, Dermapen micro-needling is not painful. Most people find the process to be comfortable and relaxing. Your aesthetician will apply a topical numbing cream prior to the treatment if you are feeling particularly sensitive.
What Results Can I Expect from Dermapen Micro-Needling?
Most people experience a noticeable improvement in their skin’s texture and tone after just one treatment. However, visible results may take several weeks to appear and will continue to improve with additional treatments. For best results it is recommended to have 4 – 6 sessions spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
Is There Any Downtime After a Dermapen Micro-Needling Treatment?
No, there is no downtime after the treatment. You may experience some slight redness and swelling for up to 24 hours, but this will diminish quickly with cold compresses. You can return to normal activities immediately.
Who Should Not Receive Dermapen Micro-Needling?
Those who have active acne should not get the treatment, as it can spread bacteria and trigger breakouts. The Dermapen is also not recommended for individuals with active skin infections or open wounds on the face. It is important to discuss your medical history with your aesthetician before starting any treatment.
What Kind of Results Can I Expect?
You can expect to see visibly softer, smoother skin after just a few treatments. Over time, you will also notice a reduction in wrinkles and fine lines as well as an improvement in the texture and tone of your skin.
