Fat Dissolving Injections

Commonly treated areas: double chin, abdomen, flanks, saddlebags, inner thighs, inner knees, upper arms, back rolls and underarm bra fat 

A course of 3 – 4  treatment sessions is recommended at 6 week intervals  depending on how much fat there is to treat.

As it is a medical, minimally invasive treatment there may be some level of mild to moderate discomfort or sensitivity especially at the start of the treatment, but it shouldn’t be painful and is easily tolerated . The injectable does contain a local anaesthetic inside to minimise discomfort as much as possible.

The treatment will be followed by initial redness, localised swelling, occasional bruising, tenderness and sensitivity in the treated area. Some patients describe feeling “strange” – this is the inflammatory response and is completely normal.

Initial localised swelling and redness in the treatment area usually resolves within 3 – 7 days. There may be minor bruising, at the injection sites and/ or sensitivity and tenderness around the treated area, that will generally resolve in up to 10-14 days.

Results are permanent with a sensible lifestyle, as the fat cells are being destroyed.
