Labial Volume Loss / Thinning
As women age they naturally lose volume in their labia.
In addition, there are certain medical conditions that can accelerate this volume loss such as lichen sclerosus. Replacing volume to the labia can restore a more youthful appearance, and can help with the discomfort sometimes experienced due to the loss of volume.
Fat grafting is a surgical procedure where small volumes of fat are removed by liposuction and then re-injected to a part of the body needing volume. This can be used to restore volume in labia and is sometimes referred to as a ‘labial fluff’or a ‘labial puff’. Due to the regenerative properties of fat, this can also improve scaring and skin quality in conditions like lichen sclerosus.
