Labiaplasty

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that aims to reduce and reshape the labia minora (inner lips). The female genitalia comes in a wide range of shapes and sizes, all of which are variations of normal. Sometimes women feel the inner lips are too large, and can cause discomfort in tight clothing or during exercise and intimate relationships. The size and shape of the labia can also change as we age, and as the result of pregnancy and childbirth.

This can be a source of further stress and anxiety. Labial reduction surgery (labiaplasty) is a commonly performed procedure that can reduce the size and improve the shape of the labia and help restore function and improve self confidence.

What to Expect on The Day:

The team will welcome you to the clinic and get you settled and relaxed. We will go through the procedure and discuss the process and sign the consent form. Numbing cream will be applied to the area.

Mr West will mark the planned incisions meticulously to ensure the exact result. Local anaesthetic is injected which stings for a few seconds. Through the skin incisions, excess tissue is removed and the labia reshaped. The skin is closed with dissolvable stitches and antibiotic ointment applied.

Following surgery we will ensure all aftercare is explained and follow up appointments are arranged before letting you leave.
