Mummy Makeover

It does not describe a specific procedure, instead it describes different combinations of procedures designed to address the changes that occur to the female body due to pregnancy, childbirth and breast feeding.

The areas typically affected are the breasts and abdomen. Pregnancy causes stretching of the skin and separation of the tummy muscles. Breast feeding can leave breasts empty and sagging. Therefore surgery often includes a tummy tuck (abdominoplasty) to recontour the abdomen, and a breast lift to restore shape and volume to the breast.

Although the abdomen and breast are the most common areas addressed in a mummy makeover, any areas can be addressed if needed. Mr West will discuss your conerns and desired outcomes and create a bespoke plan to restore a more youthful body shape, and restore you confidence.

What to Expect on The Day:

The team will welcome you to the clinic and get you settled and relaxed. We will go through the procedure and discuss the process and sign the consent form. You will meet the consultant anaesthetist to discuss this aspect of the procedure with you. Photographs will be taken before heading to theatre.

Following surgery we will ensure all aftercare is explained and follow up appointments are arranged before letting you leave.

What areas are addressed as part of a mummy makeover?

The most common areas are the tummy and the breasts. However, any aspect of the body, breast and face can be addressed.

What are the follow up or aftercare procedures?

In general, wounds are checked 7 – 10 days after surgery. Scar massage starts after 2 weeks. A further review appointment is made for 4 – 6 weeks after surgery.

When can I start playing sports again?

This will depend on exactly what you have done. But in general, Light activity is ok after 1 -2 weeks. Vigorous exercise should be avoided for at least 3 – 4 weeks.

  I initially spoke to a member of Blow Media's team at a trade show and was very impressed with what they had to offer and with the websites they had already built which I was able to look at on my phone as I queued up to speak to somebody.
The initial meeting was followed up very promptly that following week with an email and a fully detailed proposal of what they could offer which was very easy to follow, explaining fully all their services and a breakdown of their costs.
I had already researched web designers thoroughly and soon realised that Blow Media, from my initial meeting and early correspondance, was the company I was going to use.
From day one they were very proactive  and led the whole process. Scott the MD came to see us and very quickly fully understood and visualised what we wanted to achieve perfectly. He also recommended a content writer, an SEO company, a company to do some filming in the clinic and a photographer. We used all his contacts other than the photographer which we decided to try and do ourselves but have since decided to use the photographer Blow Media initially recommended as my photography was the only thing I could criticise about my website.

  Blow Media  built our first website back in 2011. They worked closely with us and were able to deliver an outstanding, well presented website that enabled us to get found on search engines. After our business continued to grow we commissioned a second website in 2014 and then our third website was built in 2018.
