Rejuvenation
Pigmentation
Sun – damage
Vein Removal from face or body
Nail Fungus and wart removal
Skin – tightening
Pre-Treatment:
Do not:
Use sun beds, fake tan or sunbathe
Tweeze or wax hair from treatment area
Use depilatory creams on treatment area
Bleach the treatment area
Shave immediately prior to the treatment
Post-Treatment:
After IPL/laser treatment, it is common for the area to feel slightly warm. Some clients experience local swelling and mild tenderness. These symptoms may appear immediately or a few days after treatment. The use of 100% Aloe Vera gel is recommended directly after treatment.
For 1 to 4 weeks after treatment you should avoid exposure to UV light (i.e. sunbeds and sunbathing). A high SPF should be applied when outside. Excessive exposure can cause hypo or hyper pigmentation of the skin.
For the next 24 to 48 hours avoid all heat treatments such as: steam rooms, hot baths or showers, saunas and excessive exercise.
If you find the area treated is sensitive, continue abiding by the above list for another week.
Prices may differ slightly per individual. We recommend 3-8 treatments with 3-6 week intervals for the best results.

Frequently asked questions
Does IPL hurt?
Generally, no. Some areas can be more sensitive than others, but most of the time it feels like a little elastic band ping.
I have never had IPL before. Do I need a patch test?
Yes, all clients who have never had IPL with us, even if they have had IPL somewhere else, need to have a patch test a minimum of 1 week before treatment. This patch test takes about 15 minutes.
Can I have IPL before I go on holiday?
No, you can’t go in the sun 3-4 weeks before or after IPL treatment as your risk of a reaction or burn is far higher.
How does IPL hair removal work?
To achieve long lasting or permanent hair removal, it is necessary to destroy the hair follicle from which individual hairs grow. Controlled pulses of light penetrate the epidermis and are absorbed by melanin in the hair contained in the follicle. Melanin converts the light energy into heat. This heat is transferred to the hair follicle, which is destroyed, making it unable to produce a new hair. Hair in the resting (telogen stage) are treated later. The treatment is only effective on growing hairs as these are still attached to the follicle.
I currently wax, do I need to stop this before having IPL?
Yes, you need to stop using any other hair removal methods before your treatment. This includes waxing, tweezing and threading. Your therapist may advise you to shave the area before treatment if you are having larger areas treated, if you are unsure please check with your therapist.
