Face Lift / Necklift Surgery

Face lift Surgery is a procedure designed to revive the face to give a more youthful appearance.

Mr. Deemesh Oudit offers face lift to enhance appearance. If your neck and face have begun to drop its charm but your bone structure is strong then facelift surgery is appropriate for people who are even in their seventies. After facelift surgery, you would look younger; as a result, it may enhance your self-esteem and confidence. Facelift surgery also consists of improvement in the cheek, nasolabial folds and jowl.

After carrying out face lift surgery, you certainly will look better, however as time will go by your face will continue to age, and at that point you may want to repeat the procedures after about 5 to 10 years.

A face-lift procedure may be combined with blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery), brow lift, lip enhancement and/or chin implants to achieve a more rejuvenated appearance.

Limitations with this type of surgery include the inability to create younger skin, prevent continued ageing, or solve problems in your life that you feel may be due to your appearance. We cannot even tell you how long the results of your facelift will last because of the great degree of individual variation. What we can do is use our skill and best judgment to make you look as good as possible for your age.

Who will benefit from Face/neck lift?

The best candidates for facelift surgery have a face and neckline beginning to sag with a ‘tired’ facial appearance, but whose skin has elasticity and whose bone structure is well defined. The aim of a face-lift is correct this without making it obvious but instead, you should look younger and more cheerful.

What is not addressed by a Facelift or Necklift?

i iSignificant improvement of the wrinkles and skin quality of the face or neck. This is addressed post-surgically by CO2 laser fractional skin ablation
Dr Oudit offers all his facelift and necklift patients, one treatment of CO2 laser fractional laser skin ablation FREE OF CHARGE in order to give you the best possible outcome following your surgery. This is usually done about 3 months following the surgery
Dr Deemesh Oudit is one of the few surgeons in the UK who offers the CO2 Fractional laser treatment to patients free of charge following facelift or necklift procedures
A facelift does not address the forehead or the perioral tissues (around the lips)

Can other procedures be done at the same time as a Facelift/Necklift?

It is safe and possible to perform the following procedures at the same time as a facelift:

Upper and/or lower blepharoplasty
Fat transfer to the lips/face

Please note that Dr Deemesh Oudit routinely offers patients undergoing facelift / necklift surgery a free session of CO2 Fractional Laser treatment to condition the skin of the face and neck free of charge. This treatment helps to produce a rejuvenated appearance of the skin thereby optimising the outcome of the facelift / necklift procedure.

How can you select the right surgeon?

It is important to select a well-qualified and experienced plastic surgeon preferably one who is a member of the BAPRAS. Every patient is unique and one option does not fit everyone. Your surgeon should be suitably experienced to advise which technique is most suitable for you to have the best result.

Having your procedure done in the UK or Abroad?

No surgical procedure is risk-free. Although complications are rare, they can occur despite the best care provided by any surgeon. Dr Deemesh Oudit does not advise patients to go abroad for facelift or necklift surgery, as if complications occur, these could be potentially serious and you need to know that you have an experienced surgeon at your side who you could see immediately for advice or treatment.

Although revisions are also rare, sometimes it is necessary to perform small revisions to achieve an optimal result. Services abroad may refuse to offer these to you.

  I felt very comfortable with Mr Oudit right from the start.  I explained my problems to him and he was very informative about how he would perform my surgery.  I saw him before I had my surgery and I felt really at ease.  The pain after my procedures, revision abdominoplasty and thigh lift, was only painful when moving about, even then not too bad.  The pain went away gradually over the next week until it was barely noticeable.  Overall I would say it was very little considering the amount of surgery I had.  I felt cared for all through my surgery and after care.  Mr Oudit is a very caring person.  I would highly recommend him to friends.  I am really happy with the results.  I had to have a revision because of the mess made by a previous Surgeon, and Mr Oudit has done a wonderful job.  I can’t praise him highly enough.

  I made a decision to have my left ear pinned back because it was very prominent. I made an approach to the local BMI hospital and was given an appointment to consult with Mr Deemish. He explained the procedure to me and I left the consultation happy and confident that he would do a great job. Two weeks after the consultation I had the opertation. The operation was performed under a local anaesthetic, I did not feel anything apart from the injection. My ear was dressed and my head wrapped in a bandage, I had to keep this one for one week. I had mild pain and discomfort but was able to control that with paracetamol. When the nurse removed the bandage and dressing to reveal the result I was amazed and delighted with the result. It is now three weeks since the operation and I have no pain or discomfort. My ear looks "normal" and I am really pleased. Thank you Mr Oudit.
