Sagging Breasts

What Are Sagging Breasts?

Sagging breasts, also known as breast ptosis, refer to a condition where the breasts lose their firmness and begin to droop downwards. In severe cases, sagging breasts can cause physical discomfort and may lead to emotional distress due to a change in body image.

What Causes It?

Sagging breasts can be caused by a variety of factors, including aging, gravity, weight fluctuations, pregnancy, and breastfeeding. As we age, our skin loses elasticity, and the ligaments that support the breasts can stretch and weaken, causing the breasts to sag. Sagging breasts can also be influenced by lifestyle factors such as smoking, which can cause skin damage and decrease skin elasticity. Gravity also plays a role in breast sagging, and weight fluctuations, pregnancy, and breastfeeding can further contribute to the problem.

How Can It Be Treated?

At Deemesh Oudit Plastic Surgery, we offer a range of breast lift options to help women achieve more youthful, lifted breasts. Our experienced plastic surgeons specialize in breast surgery and take the time to listen to each patient’s needs and goals, and work closely with them to develop a personalized treatment plan that addresses their unique concerns. Our breast lift procedures involve removing excess skin and tissue and lifting the remaining breast tissue to a higher position on the chest wall, creating a more youthful and lifted appearance.
